This Wolff silver water pitcher came from George Waller’s collection and is now with Jennifer Waller Mottram. It belonged to George’s parents George and Jane Waller. It has a decorated front area to catch ice, with an internal strainer as well.
Wolff Silver was apparently a Brazilian silver company so this probably dates to the time period when the family lived in Brazil. The pitcher is marked “Prata 90” which in Brazil would have meant that it was silverplated with the thickness of standard silverware plate. This would have been 90 grams of silver spread across 12 forks + spoons.
George Waller (my Dad) has no memory of when or if this was used.
