This chest is 36″ wide by 13″ deep by 42″ high. It is currently in the capable woodworking hands of Blake Waller. It was originally created by John L. Jones.
Note says John Jones (ca1819 – ca1862) built this cabinet for his daughter Sarah Jones Smith.
Sarah Jones Smith was the wife of William Jackson Smith. Their son, Robert Pleasant Smith, born 1861, was Ora Belle’s (Mamaw’s) father.
Please post if you have any memories about this chest!
