This pitcher was owned by Ora Belle Smith Warren – Mamaw, Jane Warren Waller’s mother.
Ora Belle’s granddaughter, Julie Castleberry, says:
THE PITCHER IS ABOUT 8 ” HIGH AND ABOUT 7″ FROM SPOUT TO HANDLE. LOOK CLOSELY AND YOU WILL SEE A RAISED DEER ON THE FRONT. IT IS MOUNTAIN POTTERY, BUT THERE ARE NO MARKINGS ON THE BOTTOM. AUNT NAN MIGHT REMEMBER WHERE G’MA GOT IT.
Note that Julie remembers this being the traditional pitcher from which boiled custard was served in the Warren Household!
